Two courts struck down the decree that creates this route
The procedure as designed, and who it depends on
Decree 524/2025 sets out an eight-body assessment. The final decision was assigned to the migration service, which is the part the courts took away.
The assessment also takes account of third-country security protocols, including those arising from the United States visa waiver program.
From decree to announcement, and the two rulings in between
Seventeen months of legal framework, a cancelled tender, two court defeats, and prices that only appeared on 2 October 2026.

What Argentina brings that the others do not
Six things the announcement left unanswered
Each one changes the arithmetic for anyone weighing this against a Caribbean program or against simply waiting.
What has actually been reported
This page collects public information and is not legal, tax or immigration advice. No program is open, no regulations exist, and the legal basis is before the Supreme Court. Verify everything against the Official Gazette and consult a qualified Argentine lawyer before paying anyone for a waitlist or an application.
